Ruth Barth

Ruth Irene Barth, age 94, of Madison/Mt. Horeb passed away on August 31, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on August 4, 1923 in Muscoda Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Grace Bobb. Ruth married Max Barth on August 23, 1953 in Mt. Horeb.

Ruth was a homemaker who centered her life around her family. She enjoyed sewing, spoiling her granddaughters and frequenting garage sales. She is lovingly survived by her husband Max Barth, her daughter Linda Barth, and granddaughters Amanda Penisten (John) and Allyson Opps, her son Michael Barth (Nancy), and granddaughter Kelsey Barth. Preceded in death by her first husband Vernon Gordon, son John Gordon, brothers Beuford Bobb (Ann), Boyd Bobb (Dorothy), Paul Bobb, and sister Loraine Bobb Orth (Lambert).

There will be a short memorial service held for family and friends; no prior visitation at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison with Rev. Blake Rohrer officiating. Memorials can be made to Midvale Lutheran Church. Special thanks to the Waunakee Manor & St. Mary's Hospital for their exceptional care.
