Ruth Hart

August 26, 1926 — September 20, 2019

Ruth Kaiser Hart of Madison, WI, age 93, died September 20, 2019 at All Saints Neighborhood - Madison, WI

Ruth was born August 26, 1926 in Stratford, WI to Teresa (Baumann) and John J Kaiser and graduated from Stratford High School. At the age of 22, she was asked by Hardware Mutual to go to Atlanta GA to assist the underwriting department for a month. A month turned to many years. She met her future husband, John M Hart. They were married Jan 16, 1954 in Atlanta. Ruth and John resided there until 1971 when they moved to South Florida. After retiring from Florida Atlantic University, she and John returned to Atlanta to enjoy their property 'Peace of Mind" in middle Georgia. After John's death she moved to Virginia and West Virginia to live closer to her daughter. In 2010 she returned to Wisconsin following for the last time her daughter.

Ruth was very social, enjoyed people and liked to be the organizer, the doer of the group. She was extremely thoughtful, thinking about the needs of the people around her. Even as disease took her memory, she was most appreciative for all that people did for her. She loved a mean hand of Bridge and could fry chicken and cook a mess of collards with the best of them. Now and again, she could not resist cooking a pork roast and sauerkraut. Ruth's Catholic faith sustained her throughout her life. She cherished her grandsons and was most thankful to be in their lives.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Diane Hart Deci, son-in-law, David Deci, grandsons Andrew Deci of Bath ME and Stephen Deci of Morgantown, WV, granddaughter-in-law, Abby Deci and great-granddaughter, Stella Deci. She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, parents, and siblings: Jerome (Marian) Kaiser, Bernice (Tony) Steuber, Eleanor (Allie) Leick, Woodrow (Marie) Kaiser, Joan Kaiser, Raymond (Betty) Kaiser, Gerald (Hario) Kaiser, Cyril Kaiser, Marvin (Marlyce) Kaiser and two dear sister-in-laws, E Ruth Hart and Emily Hart Thacker.

The family wishes to thank the staff at All Saints Memory Care for their kindness and incredible care provided to Ruth in her last years of life, Dr. Ann Evensen, and the Agrace Purple Team and multiple volunteers who helped usher Ruth into a better place.
