Ruth Ann Hess

MADISON - Ruth-Ann ""Ruthie"" Hess, age 61, died on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Hospice Care. Ruthie was born on June 10, 1947 to Kenneth and Ruth Coleman. Born and raised in Madison, Ruthie worked for the State of Wisconsin Department of Housing, the Washington Hotel until it was destroyed by fire in 1996, and the State of Wisconsin Registration Department of Boats, ATV's and Snowmobiles. Ruthie will always be loved and remembered for her generosity, caring ways, her love for her family and friends and her love of sending greeting cards. Her family and friends will dearly miss her. She is survived by life-partner, Dexter Muri; her children, Catherine and Jonathan Hess; a very special grandson, Beau Nolen; brothers, Ronald Coleman and his wife Cindy, Bill Coleman and his wife Loretta and sister, Sandra Coleman; nieces and nephews and best friend (just like family) Sherry Nelson (thank you). She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Marvin Hess III; nephew, ""Baby"" Kenneth Coleman; and her aunt, Isabel Brinkman. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 12 noon until 1:30 pm at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm at Cress.
