Ruth King

STOUGHTON
Ruth Elaine King passed away Friday, January 8, 2016.

Ruth was born in Stoughton on April 22, 1944 to the late Paul and Grace (Lintvedt) Harried. Ruth moved to Marshfield and worked at Del Monte, Marshfield Canning and Figis. On June 15, 1992 Ruth married Alfred King. Together they lived in Marshfield until moving back to Stoughton in 1999.

Ruth was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Lucy Sweep Circle. She was a #1 fan of Jesse Walker, she loved embroidery, rug latching, making picture frames for canvas, and cats.

Ruth is survived by her husband Alfred; siblings, Helen Harried, Lucille (Frank), Alice Moen, Ellen (Thomas) Doyle, Arthur (Lorayne), Martin (Josephine), and Melvin (Nancy) Harried; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma, and brother Paul.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2015 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton. Visitation will be at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton, Monday, 3-5 p.m., and Tuesday at church one hour prior to service.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Angels on Earth, Stoughton Hospital and Stoughton EMS.
