Ruth A. Kittleson, age 91, passed away at Nazareth House in Stoughton on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Â She was born in the Town of Pleasant Springs on June 17, 1918, a daughter of the late Albert and Amanda (Dahle) Simonson. Â On January 21, 1935, she was united in marriage to Gerhard Kittleson in McFarland. Â She was a very special person, mother and grandmother. Â She loved visiting with her family. Â Ruth enjoyed cooking, cleaning, baking, painting, ceramics, traveling, the Stoughton Senior Center, and watching birds and squirrels. Â She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Spink of McFarland, and Gloria (Wayne) Fosdal of Cambridge; 11 grandchildren, Debra Huston, Diana (Fred) Printiss, Cindy (Chris) Spink, Jason (Tricia) Swenson, Sandra Yates, Brian (Amy) Kittleson, Sue Ann Swenson, Kim (Doug) Jacobson, and Mindy, Mandy and Kristi Kittleson; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Fern (Norman) Kalland; a brother, Robert (Eva) Simonson; a special niece, Jan Davie, and many other nieces and nephews. Â She was preceded in death by her husband Gerhard; 2 sons, Gerald Jerry' and Norman Kittleson; a grand daughter, Cheryl Fosdal; 3 sisters, Alice Hoff, Evelyn Kittleson and Eldora Ranghand; and a brother, Sanford Simonson. Â Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, with the Rev. Mark Petersen officiating. Â Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona. Â The family will greet friends at church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
