Ruth Orwin

Madison-Ruth Ann (Littel) Orwin, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother
and friend, passed away at the age of 89 on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Meriter Hospital.

She was born May 8, 1922 in Madison, the daughter of the late
William and Mathilda (Grimm) Littel. Ruth was united in marriage to
Harold J. Orwin on Oct. 3, 1942 at St. James Catholic Church,
Madison. She worked for the State of Wisconsin for many years. She
enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, music, playing cards, socializing, and loved
spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children Carolyn (Todd) Pauls of Madison and
Jeffrey (Kim) Orwin of Oregon; three grandchildren, Justin (Xochitl)
Pauls, Kristin Pauls and Alex Orwin. She is further survived by
three sisters Dorothy Dickert, Kathryn Loy, Mary Jean Uselman;
sister-in-law Clarice Littel and many nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her husband Harold on August 19, 1994, her
parents, twin brother Richard Littel and her sister Margaret Pharo.

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic
Church, 401 S. Owen Dr, Madison on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 am with Fr. Bill Nolan officiating.
friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of
services. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruth's name to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
