Ruth Wells

Stoughton- Ruth Miller Wells, age 68, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 at HospiceCare in Fitchburg.   She was born in West Bend on April 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Elmer and Meta (Schloemer) Miller.   On September 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to Harold Wells in Columbus, WI. Ruth enjoyed sewing and worked out of her home as a seamstress.   She did custom sewing, mending, sewed her own clothes, and together with her mother and grandmother, sewed her own wedding gown.   Ruth also enjoyed quilting, embroidery genealogy and gardening.   Together with Harold, Ruth traveled extensively.   She taught him to slow down and enjoy the journeys as well as the destinations.   In addition to her husband Harold, Ruth is survived by a son, William Wells; 2 grandchildren, Kimberleigh and Parker; a sister, Judith (John) Smith; a brother, Herb (Pat) Miller; and many nieces and nephews.   Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at Covenant Lutheran Church 1525 N. Van Buren, Stoughton, with the Rev.
