Ryan Chun Suehs

February 27, 1973 — February 15, 2011

Ryan Chun Suehs, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from a sudden brain hemorrhage.   Sally and Allen Suehs adopted Ryan at age 2 from Korea.   When he arrived home to Stoughton he joined siblings Martha and Peter.   Ryan graduated from Stoughton High School in 1991.   He lived in Stoughton for a short time after graduation and worked at Stoughton Trailers and Stoughton Hospital.   After leaving Stoughton, Ryan moved to Madison and worked at Meriter Hospital.   For many years, Ryan was a deeply devoted volunteer at the Dane County Humane Society.   He also received special recognition and was honored by the Humane Society for his many hours spent working with the animals.   Ryan enjoyed reading and spending time at the library.   He loved to learn new information and was always a winner at Trivial Pursuit.   He will be greatly missed by his 3 nieces; Leah, Sarah and Savannah.   Ryan was a big help in a lot of ways to his family.   Martha and Peter thank him for always listening and taking their phone calls at anytime (except mornings.)   Peter will miss his best friend and the many laughs they shared, that have now sadly come to an end.   Ryan is survived by his father, Allen; sister, Martha (Steve) Althaus; brother, Peter (Jeni Scott); and 3 nieces, Leah, Sarah and Savannah.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally; and grandparents, Martha & Bert Heinzen and Ann & Andrew Suehs.   A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with Monsignor Gerard Healy officiating.   The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm until the time of service.   Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
