Sally Lohr

Madison - Sally J. Lohr, age 78, passed away on May 16, 2018 at Meriter Hospital. She was born on July 11, 1939 in mineral point, wi. the daughter of Joseph and Irma (Koske) Gordon. She grew up on the family farm, which nurtured her love of animals, plants and the outdoors. Sally always looked forward to family gatherings and time spent laughing with (at) one another. Family was her number one priority, and she created strong family relationships that comforted and carried her through her final days.

She is survived by her three children, Luanne "Susie" (Kip) Platt, Harold Jr. "Jones" (Linda) Lohr, Darcy (Rhonda Winkers) Lohr; five grandchildren, Chris Platt, Heidi (Jedd) Ungrodt, Alex, Ben and Josh Lohr; 6 great grandchildren, Abbey, Ella, Olivia, Raina, Joel and Reid; a sister, Nancy Gordon; two brothers, Tom (Faye) Gordon and Don Gordon and friend Dar Dankert. She will be fondly remembered by Tom Elsing, Ginger and Craig Prucha and their sons, Owen and Austin. She will be further missed by many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Lohr Sr, longtime partner and friend Floyd Hudson, sister Cheryl Gordon and sister-in-law Bev Gordon.

A celebration of life will be held at Cress Funeral & Cremation Service, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland, on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A brief time for remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm. Sally loved the scent of lilacs, so in lieu of flowers, feel free to bring lilacs to add to her celebration of life. In keeping in the spirit of Sally, please dress casually for her gathering.
