Samson Tan

Samson (Sammy) Tan, 41 of Madison, WI passed away on October 27, 2014 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on July 13, 1973 in Quezon City, Philippines to Samuel and Aurora Tan. His family immigrated to Canada in 1976 and Sammy grew up in Toronto, Canada. He took up residence in Sheboygan, WI with his parents in 1987.

He graduated from Lakeshore Technical College and received a degree in Information Technology. He worked as an IT manager for Great Wolf Resorts Inc. He started working for their Blue Harbor resort in Sheboygan, WI, moving onto the company's resort in Washington and ending with his current employment in their company headquarters here in Madison. He is fortunate to have made many great friends during his travels while working for Great Wolf Lodges.

Sammy's life touched countless family and friends. He is survived by his parents and his two cherished children, Sidney and Silas and also by his four siblings: Shirley, Senny, Samuel Jr., Steve and all their children.

Family will greet friends on Thursday evening at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd, Madison between 4 to 7 p.m. and on Friday at 10 am for an hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow. Sammy's family is deeply indebted to the doctors and nursing staff at UW Hospital and Clinics for all their support and care during the last three weeks of his life.
