Sarah Davies Hogoboom died on 12/30/2022. She was born Sarah Catherine Davies on April 6, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. Her parents were Thomas H. and Ava McGlone Davies of Madison and Whitehouse, Ohio. She graduated from Madison East High School and attended the University of Wisconsin. She was married to the late Belford (Bill) Hogoboom for 62 years. They had five children and lived in Madison. Creating a comfortable home was always at the center of Sarah's life. She loved to restore and decorate older homes for her family. Sarah enjoyed meeting new people and she nurtured and inspired lasting friendships of all ages. She was happy being a mother and grandmother and found many ways to express her love and support. She was lively, funny and always up for an adventure. She was “Queen” of the Historic Madison Facebook group. Sarah is survived by her children and their spouses, Jan Miller, Will Hogoboom, Glen (Roberta) Hogoboom, Gene (Christina Jackson) Hogoboom, and Mary (Matt) Reigel; her 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Jean Davies Peters and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers, John and David Davies, son-in-law Mark Miller, grand-daughter Jan Valerie Hogoboom, and great-grandson Kellen Ludwig.
