Scott J. Cassidy

SUN PRAIRIE—Scott Joseph Cassidy, age 52, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.  He was born on July 7, 1971 in Mendota, Illinois to Roger and Janet (Forman) Cassidy.  He married Karolyn Rucki on September 13, 2003 in Pewaukee, WI.  

Scott attended Amboy High School, Sauk Valley Community College, and Northern Illinois University where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in plastics.  Scott took his talents to various companies in the plastics field including EVCO Plastics and most recently, John Deere.

In his free time, Scott enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing video games, shooting darts, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Scott is survived by his wife Karolyn; his sons Tyler and Gavin; his father Roger (Carol) Cassidy of Casa Grande, AZ; his brother Jeffery (Elena) Cassidy of Naperville, IL; and countless other relatives, co-workers, and friends.  He is preceded in death by his mother Janet Cassidy.

Visitation for Scott will be from 2-5:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home Sun Prairie.   Visitation will continue from 9-10:00 AM on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the funeral home with a memorial service to begin at 10:00 AM.
