Sun Prairie - Scott R. Ollerman, Age 49, Passed Away On Monday, October 3rd, 2011
Scott was born on June 11th, 1962 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the son of Robert and Kay Ollerman. When Scott was 12 years old, the family moved to Sun Prairie from Milwaukee. Scott is the product of the Sun Prairie school system and he graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1980.
Scott's early work experience included various positions around Sun Prairie, including Hanley Implement.
In 1984 Robert and Scott co-founded Service Specialists, their own HVAC/R company. Scott was the driving force behind the success of the company. His unmatched technical skills, vision and passion for helping people, ultimately made Service Specialists the "Number 1 HVAC/R Service Company In Southern Wisconsin".
Scott's passion for racing was apparent at a very young age. He made his way around the racetrack at age 15 with a forged permission slip and he never looked back. His racing career included many wins at Columbus, Jefferson, LaCrosse, Madison and Wisconsin Dells. The pinnacles of his career were track championships at Columbus (multiple) and Madison International Speedway in 1997. Dubbed the "Dale Earnhardt of Wisconsin", the "0" car became a fixture in the area. Scott had a huge following of family and friends alike.
In 1984 he married his high school sweetheart Tami Anderson. They had two wonderful children, Amy in 1989 and Bobby in 1991.
Scott is survived and greatly missed by his children Amy (Cameron), Bobby, the mother of his children, Tami of Stoughton, his mother Kay (Ray) Ollerman-Olson, his brother Greg (Brenda) and their children Courtney, Lindsey, Brittney, Emily and his brother Jeffrey, all of Sun Prairie. He is further survived by his former wife Tracy Ollerman of DeForest, his Grandmother, Lucille Nordbye of Stevens Point, his uncles Fred Ollerman of Sullivan and Tom (Sharon) Ollerman of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert in 1988 and three other Grandparents.
Scott seized each of life's opportunities to their fullest, maximized his talents in every way, loved his community and will be greatly missed by everyone he touched. We are fortunate to have had him in our lives.
