Sean S. Stumpf

Madison - Sean Stephen Stumpf, 48, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 at St. Mary’s hospital in Madison, Wi. 

Sean was born on September 27th, 1975, to Stephen Stumpf and Lonnie Steinhauer (Fenne) in Madison. 

After graduating from Madison East high School, he went on to join the United States Marine Corps. After, he found his partner in crime, Sheri Stumpf (Scott) and they had two beautiful children; Kaylee and Jakob. 

He worked as a Foreman with Cubic Wall Systems for over 25 years. He spent his free time watching Sunday night football, tinkering in the garage and spending time with those he loved the most. 

Sean was a big man, with an even bigger heart. Though he sported quite a steely demeanor, his loved ones knew him as a kind, loyal and generous husband, father, and friend. 

Sean is preceded in death by his sister, Sara McGrath (Steinhauer); His brother, Charles Steinhauer; His Uncle, Marc Fenne; His father in-law, Jerry Scott; His grandfather and grandmother, Clifford and Beverly Fenne; His grandfather and grandmother, Theodore and Mabel Stumpf.

Sean is survived by his wife, Sheri Stumpf; His children, Kaylee Stumpf and Jakob Stumpf; His mother, Lonnie Steinhauer (Robert); His father, Stephen Stumpf; His mother in-law, Bonnie Scott; His sisters, Stevie and Samantha Stumpf; His uncle Jeffrey Fenne (Dennis); His aunt Leslie Sejut (Mark); His uncle Dan Ciano; Nephews, Izaiah and Mario; His Niece, Catalina; and his many beloved cousins and close family friends. As well as an honorable mention, a brother from another mother, Jeremy Yager. A visitation will be held from 12pm until 2pm on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
