Selma Davis

Belleville/Waunakee- Selma "Sally"Margaret Davis, age 83 joined her beloved husband, Roy on Sunday, January 29, 2012 following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on October 7, 1928 in Argyle, Wisconsin, the township of Adams, the daughter of Carl and Sigrid (Hesjadalen) Gilbertson. On November 11, 1928 Selma was baptized at Adams Lutheran Church. Selma attended Meadow Brook Elementary in Argyle, Wisconsin and graduated from Argyle and Monticello High School. She was united in marriage to Roy H. Davis on October 27, 1962 at Spring Green Congregational Church by Reverend Robert VornHolt. Prior to marriage Selma was employed by J.I. Case Company and Amerock Corporation in Rockford, IL. She was a past member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and a current member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Selma enjoyed crocheting, crafts, gardening, camping and golf. She is survived by her son; Thomas (Carrie) Davis of Waunakee, a blessed granddaughter; Alyssa, and a brother; victor (Edie) Gilbertson, as well as many nieces and nephews. . Selma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy in 2010, three brothers Orville, Burnell and Vernus and four sisters; Magnil, Stella, Alice and Esther.

Funeral services will be held at ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 12 Noon. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, from 10 am until the time of services.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Spring Green Cemetery, Spring Green, WI at 3:00 pm.
