Sena Kvitle (nee Fladen) passed away on February 15, 2009 at The Skaalen Retirement Home in Stoughton, WI. She was born on May 4, 1921. Her mother died after childbirth, so Sena was raised by her maternal grandparents on the Havey Farm near Stoughton. She went to nursing school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and after graduating, married her high school sweetheart, Harold Kvitle, also of Stoughton, Wisconsin. After 66 years of marriage, Harold preceded her in death on February 1, 2009. Sena was an especially loving, giving and compassionate person. She had a long career as a registered nurse, working in Chicago during WWII and later at Madison General Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was an avid golfer and excellent bridge player. Sena is survived by three devoted daughters: Sandra (James) Martin, of Plainfield IL., Linda (Richard) Wedepohl, of Madison; and Nancy (Brian) Robson, of West Chester, OH; five adoring grandchildren: Kathy, Adam, Kelly, Paul, and Jill; and two great-grandchildren: Tyler and Autumn. A Private Memorial Service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Christian Children's Fund or a charity that helps needy children.
