Sharon Palumbo

Sharon Palumbo (Jacobson), age 63, of Stoughton, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 20, 2024 at her home in Madison, WI. She was born on December 29, 1960 in Stoughton, WI, daughter of Palmer and Ellen (Nygaard) Jacobson. 

Sharon is survived by her cherished daughters, Jourdan and Michaela Palumbo, from her marriage to Joe Palumbo, and her devoted partner, Sam Sims, who brought her a great deal of companionship and love. She also leaves behind her beloved Gordon Setter, Ani, who was a faithful companion.

Sharon spent her career working as a National Account Sales Assistant, where her attention to detail and work ethic made a lasting impact. Outside of work, she found joy in cooking and decorating her home for the seasons and holidays, always creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sharon loved spending time with friends, traveling to visit her daughters, and curating a fashionable wardrobe. Her spirit was vibrant, and she cherished each moment with the people she loved.

A devoted and loving mother, Sharon was immensely proud of her daughters and made her love known in countless ways. She adored exploring Madison’s restaurant scene, forever seeking new flavors and experiences. An avid fan of Bon Jovi, she attended many concerts and cherished classic rock, making music a constant presence in her life.

With her natural warmth and sociability, Sharon made friends easily and enjoyed connecting with new people. She often reminisced about her upbringing in Stoughton, especially the cherished times spent with her father, Palmer, at the East Side Service Station, memories that stayed close to her heart.

A visitation will be held on December 5, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, WI. The funeral service will follow on December 6, 2024 at 11:00am at First Lutheran Church, with a luncheon to celebrate Sharon’s life immediately afterward.
