Sheila Scribner

November 21, 1951 — July 21, 2009

Deer Creek - Sheila Scribner, 57, of Deer Creek, died unexpectedly on July 21, 2009 at UW-Madison Hospital and Clinics after a brief illness.

Sheila was born in Dallas, Texas on November 21, 1951 to Philip and Julia Long. Sheila was a longtime resident of Wisconsin sharing the past 28 years with the love of her life, Dennis E. Dworshok. Sheila was a long-term employee of Network Health Plan in Menasha. Sheila received an Associate Degree from NWTC in Green Bay.

Sheila was an avid Harley rider having logged more than 80,000 miles on her numerous Harley's including a solo ""girls"" trip to Sturgis in 1993. Over the years Sheila developed an interest in hunting with Dennis and her dogs. In addition, Sheila was an exceptional cook specializing in Mexican and Czech cuisine. Many family members and friends received afghans and blankets that Sheila made as cherished gifts. Gardening, especially flowers further occupied her time.

Sheila is survived by Dennis E. Dworshok; son Jason E. Scribner; sister Susan (Ed) White; Dennis' family: Verabelle Dworshok, Jean (Charlie) Frederick, George (Dorothy) Dworshok, Diane (Thomas) Bogenhagen, Barbara (Jon) Bilodeau, and nieces and nephews: Daniel, Philip, Amanda, Jim, Kirstin, Rob, Sara, Jacob, and Hannah. Henry, her yellow lab, and Trapper, her black lab, will miss Sheila. Many friends further survive Sheila.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Julia Long.

Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 11:00 am -- 3:00 pm at Germania Hall, 320 Chute Street, Menasha. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name.
