In Loving Memory
Shirlee (Manowske) Thompson was unexpectedly called home to eternal life on December 22, 2013. She was born on September 12th to Walter and Mathilda "Tilly" Manowske.
Shirlee graduated from Saint Mary Springs, Fond du Lac Wi.
On May 7th, 1954 she married the love of her life Richard "Dick" Thompson. In their early years they made there home in Fond du Lac where they raised their two sons Neil and Glen. For the past 25 years they have made their home in Sun Prairie. Shirl" lived life to the fullest. As a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed frequent trips to the land with husband where they enjoyed hunting and fishing together. She shared her love for the outdoors with her children as well, spending hours hunting with them when they were young. She especially enjoyed her quite time wandering through the woods finding the smallest of nature's treasures. She saw beauty in the simplest of things. She could identify more birds and mushrooms then anyone we knew. Dear to her heart were the friendships she made with the ladies from her bridge clubs both in Fond du Lac and Sun Prairie.
Children: Neil (Patti) Thompson and Glen (Tracy) Thompson. Grandchildren Jonathan and Jennifer Thompson. Also Tracy's children Joe (Jenna) Ebling and Anna Marie Ebling. Two great grandchildren Hailey and Caleb Ebling. She also shared special relationships with her sister Gloria's daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents by Walter and Mathilda Manowske, her in-laws Neil and Helen Thompson, her sister Gloria Anderson, and her brother Karl Manowske.
A Memorial gathering for Shirlee will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 1pm until 3pm at Cress Funeral Home 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie.
