Madison – Shirley Lynne (Crawford) Boettcher, age 69, passed away on Thursday February 10, 2022, at Oak Park Place in Madison. She was born April 30, 1952, in Portage to the late Elmer and Rena (Grossman) Crawford. She is a graduate of Poynette High School, Whitewater State University with a BA in Education, and Cleveland Tech School with drafting credits. Shirley was a teacher for Manitowoc Public Schools, supervisor at Weyerhauser, welder at Manitowoc Company, State of Wisconsin – CCW vocation services/teacher, the Princeton Club and HyVee. She loved flower gardens, antique shops, learning about history and nature, volunteering, traveling and sports.
Shirley is survived by her brothers Randy (Julie) Crawford, Rick (Kay) Crawford, sisters Julie (Rob) Bennett, Sherry Kreutzer, Janice (jim) Walker; and is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Russ.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 15, 2022, at LAKE EDGE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4032 Monona Dr. with Rev Justin Ditrich presiding. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the service at the church on Tuesday.
