Sophie Marie Healy

Sophie M. (Bonanno) Healy, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at SSM St. Mary’s Health Care Center. Sophie was born on October 2, 1932 to Antonio and Antonina Bonanno in the Italian Greenbush Neighborhood of Madison.

Sophie lived her entire life in Madison and, together with her husband John, raise 6 children in the city. Sophie is survived by her children; Mary Ann (Jeff Netols) of Orlando, FL, John (Karen) of Oregon, Patrick (Cathy Voss) of Washington D.C, Katie of Madison, Jim (Angela) Bonanno of Johnson Creek and Eileen (Corey) Carolfi of DeForest, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, her brothers Tony and Sam and sisters Mary, Ann and Grace.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 602 Everglade Drive in Madison with a visitation starting at 10:00 am.

The family would like to thanks the staff of SSM St. Mary’s Health Care Center and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Sophie.
