Stella L. Johnson

Cottage Grove- Stella ""Stellie"" Georgeson Johnson was called home on Thursday, April 16, 2009 and she exited this life with grace, dignity and a great sense of humor.  Her life was counted by 68 years, and in that time she touched countless lives.  Always willing to lend an ear, a hand or whatever was needed.  Stella was a familiar face at church and community events.  She was a generous and giving person, and will be missed by all who knew her.   Stella enjoyed setting puzzles with her sister, Dolly, caring for her grandson, attending concerts and recitals for her granddaughters.  Spending time with her special friends, traveling to Montana, visiting with her son, and dinners at the Koffee Kup with her daughter and son-in-law.   Stella leaves behind her sisters, Dolly and Sally; her brothers, Brian and Claire; her daughter, Aryka (Ted) Quincey; her son, Justin; her grandchildren, Aryn, Briar, Haley, Damien and Hailey; her in-laws, Derby, Pat, Freddy, Phyllis, Joyce, Clarence and Alice; her many nieces and nephews; her special friends, James, Nola, Katie, Ann, Del and Bret; and her numerous kitties.    She will be met in her new home by her husband, Frank; her son, Eric; her granddaughter, Jolan; her brothers, Bruce and Morrie; her mother, Wanda; and father, Alfred.   Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 2633 Church Street, Cottage Grove, with Rev. Tom Heyn officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2009 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in which the grandchildren will select their favorite charity.   Stella's family wishes to thank the staff of St. Mary's Hospital for their compassionate care, especially those in the Cardiac Care Center (Mary Beth) and MICU.
