Stephen “Steve” Anthony Brausen, age 72, of Summerville, SC passed away on July 5th, 2024. He was born in Madison, WI and was the eldest son of the late John and Teresa Brausen. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Loretta (nee Anderer), his siblings Suzanne Brausen of New Orleans, LA; Mary Brausen of Minneapolis, MN; James Brausen of McFarland, WI; Terry (Eric) Bailey of Roseville, MN; John Brausen of Oregon, WI; his brothers-in law and sisters-in-law Michael (Erin) Anderer of Salt Lake City, UT; Vincent (Jenny Dilworth) Anderer of Columbia, SC, Dr. Susan (nee Ecker) Anderer of Wynnewood, PA; many nieces and nephews; countless cousins and dear friend, James Dawson of Lodi, WI. Along with his parents, Steve was predeceased by his sister, Sharon; brother-in-law, Dr. Stephen Anderer; and best friends Gunnar and Zoltan.
Steve was a graduate of West High School and attended the University of Wisconsin. He has been an employee of Amtelco in McFarland, WI for the last 42 years. He had played ice hockey and baseball for many years and remained an avid sports fan. Steve closely followed Badger football and basketball and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at Our Lady Queen of Peace, (401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, WI 53711) on Friday, August 9th from 9:30 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. His interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
