Stephen Lee Busch

Stephen Busch passed away on March 16, 2025, after a brief illness. He was 58 years old.

Steve was born on June 21, 1966, and was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Duane and Bette Busch (Spangler); his sisters, Shelley Bednar (Dan) and Deanna Wiese (Steve); and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Sperle, Morgan Sperle, Danielle Wiese, Dylan Sperle, and Alexander Wiese. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Leander Spangler, Hazel and Carroll Busch, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Steve was a graduate of Stoughton High School class of 1984. Steve went back to school later in life and earned a degree in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He was a proud member of the Stoughton High School Band, and then continued on with his music in a band for many years to come. Steve loved to go to concerts for all types of music, and more recently became a regular of Kiki’s House of Righteous Music venue. Steve loved trying new foods, and new restaurants.

Steve loved spending time with his family and their beloved pets, especially Nelly and Daisy. His warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. A luncheon will be held in Healy Hall at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be a private event, at a later date and time.

Steve’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
