Steve A. Mentel, age 51, born to eternal life on May 21, 2024. He was born on February 9, 1973 to John and Mary (Frohna) Mentel. Steve grew up in Greenfield, WI. Steve loved playing the piano growing up. Steve graduated from Pius XI High School, and UW-Whitewater, where he majored in Accounting.
Steve married the love of his life Heather on October 13, 2001. They welcomed daughters Katherine and Grace in 2004. Steve was a beloved husband, a great father, brother, uncle, and friend. Steve loved being a Dad and cherished his time with his family. Steve made it his focus in life to always be there for his girls – Heather, Katherine, and Grace. You often found Steve on the sidelines of the girls’ soccer games, and even traveled as far as Germany with the family for the girls to play their favorite sport. Steve’s happy place was the family lake house, where he would sit for hours on the beach hanging out with his girls or watching his dogs Ginger and Rockie. Steve enjoyed bowling, golfing, and softball with his friends.
