Madison/Sun Prairie-Steven D. Gooch, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2011, due to an apparent drug overdose. Steven was born on November 18, 1972, in Lacrosse, the only son of Douglas and Linda (Moldrem) Gooch. In the summer of 1973, the family moved to Warsaw, IN. where Steve attended elementary and middle school. Upon returning to Sun Prairie in 1988, Steve attended Sun Prairie High School. Presently, Steve was enrolled in Madison Technical College pursuing a degree in graphic arts in order to utilize his outstanding artistic talent. Steve was always proud of earning his black belt in Tai Kwon Do at an early age. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Linda; aunt Vicki (Larry) Cutler, uncle John (Marge) Moldrem, uncle Jim (Chris) Gooch, aunt Margaret Graves, and many cousins. He is also survived by his little dog, Harley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford & Shirley Moldrem, Homer and Madge Gooch, step-grandmother Nell Gooch, and aunt Sharon Walker. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 1-3:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie. There will be no formal service for Steven at this time. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in his name. Your struggle is over, our son, and ours is just beginning. May you rest in peace. We will always love you.
