Key, Steven   L. Madison :   Steven L. Key died peacefully early on May 26th, 2009 .   He was born in Orangeburg , South Carolina on March 28th, 1948 . He is survived by wife Consuelo Sanudo, daughter Sara Key (Tim Bogosh), step-daughter Lori Smith (Bill Smith), grandchildren Jena , Cassy, and Trey Smith, niece Jennifer Key, nephew Jeffrey Key, and first wife Leslie Graves. Steve was preceded in death by his mother Louise Key, father Clemson Key, brother Clemson ""Skip"" Key, second wife Jackie Adler, and good friend Jack Lincoln.   Steve served his country in the Air Force and was an alumnus of St. John's College , Annapolis .   While at St. John's , he wrote his senior thesis on Adam Smith.   He was a voracious book collector and a great lover of music.   Steve's favorite evenings were spent in his chair, reading one of his many books with his cat Jonathan in his lap and his wife somewhere nearby. Some of his creative pursuits included designing and building his house and repairing the cars of the women in his life.   He was a steadfast friend and family man who spent his Sunday afternoons on the phone with loved ones.   Steve was much appreciated for his wit and work ethic whether he was running a computer lab at UW-Whitewater, network support at Wiscnet, or working at the UW-Madison Physics Department. All are welcome to an open house on Friday, May 29th, from 4:00pm on at 805 Lakeside St , Madison WI.   For further information, please call 608-251-6565. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Steve's name to the UW-Madison Music Department or St. John's College in Annapolis . Steve was much loved by his family and friends, and will be sorely missed.
