MIDDLETON/WAUNAKEE-Stuart Walker Woolley, age 85, passed away on Feb. 2, 2020 at St Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on June 9, 1934 in Oswego, Illinois, the son of Newton and Winifred Woolley.
Stuart graduated from Iowa State College with a B.S. in Animal Science. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He worked for the Rath Packing Co. and Oscar Mayer Foods in various areas of livestock and meat procurement. He retired in 1992 after working 26 years for Oscar Mayer.
After retirement, Stuart spent many hours in the workshop that he built, repairing and refinishing antiques. He also built furniture and it is placed in his children’s homes.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of 64 years; children, Brian (Pat) Woolley, Mark (Vicki) Woolley, Stella (John) Kleinschmidt, Yvonne (Allyson Butler) Perry, and Claire (Scott) Brill; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 5763 County Rd. Q, Waunakee on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be given to Heifer Project, Int. or the Mission Committee of the First Presbyterian Church.
