Madison - Susan G. Krueger, 62, of Madison, WIsconsin died peacefully on May 29, 2022, after a four-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Susan was born to Robert and Doretta Germann on June 26, 1959, in Madison. She graduated from Madison East High School in 1977 and attended Madison Business College. She worked in administrative and marketing positions, until eventually returning to college. One of Susan’s proudest achievements was attending UW-Madison and completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in rehabilitation psychology. She LOVED being a Wisconsin Badger. After graduating, Susan worked as a program and individual case manager supporting people with cognitive and physical disabilities. She was a fierce advocate for people in need, and helped many people through their own traumatic experiences.
Susan was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She was the most amazing and loving mother to Elizabeth and Kathryn. Susan married Steven Krueger in 2012 and welcomed his sons, Bryan and Scott, into the family. Susan was also blessed with seven grandchildren, who she absolutely adored and spoiled at every opportunity.
Susan loved live music and dancing; sunsets, beers, and cribbage at the Memorial Union Terrace; traveling, especially to Door County and Mexico; Bucky Badger; seeing friends; being outside; and pool days and grilling out with her family. Her smile and laugh were contagious, and she brought humor and fun wherever she went. She was a friend to all and helped everyone she could.
Susan is survived by her husband, Steven Krueger; daughters, Elizabeth (Eric) Johnson and Kathryn (Kyle) Lutz; stepsons, Bryan Krueger and Scott (Allison) Krueger; grandchildren, Sasha, Mason, Grace, Maggie, Evan, Oliver, and Greyson; parents, Doretta and Robert Germann; brothers Rick (Mary) Germann and Tom Germann; many aunts and cousins; close friends, especially the WWs; and her sweet dog, Honey.
