Susana Inja Kang passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2022 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Susana was born on March 13th, 1957 in Gunsan, South Korea. Growing up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters under caring and spiritual parents, there was much laughter and love. Ever since she was young, Susana was creative and often lead brothers and sisters decorating the house for Christmas. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting doilies for family, friends, and charities. She also loved classical music, painting and writing.
Susana was an avid reader, deeply interested in philosophy, and had great aspirations for her life and future. Despite mental health challenges she encountered throughout her adult life, she strived to maintain her independence and she kept her strong faith until the end. Her vibrant and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by Peter Kang of South Korea; Mary (Myunggi) Kim of South Korea; Frank (Christina) Kang of Wisconsin; Juliet (Gary) Lee of New York; Daniel (Rosa) Kang of Ohio. She was preceded by in death by her parents Augustine and Monica Kang; her sister-in-law Agnes Kang.
In celebration of Susana’s life, a private funeral service and burial took place in the morning of March 29th (Tuesday). She is now resting in Peace in the House of Lord forever.
In lieu of flowers, family recommend donations to Journey Mental Health Center in honor of Susana Kang.
