Suzanne Thomas

Suzanne B. (Rowley) Thomas, age 89, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013.

Suzanne was born in Waunakee, WI, on Feb. 19, 1924, the youngest of eight children of Roy and Elizabeth (Domini) Rowley. She grew up in Madison and graduated from Edgewood High School and Edgewood College where she also participated in the theatre. Suzanne's career included various jobs in office management. She retired after 19 years of service at the age of 70 from the UW Madison Retinopathy Reading Center where she was a research coordinator.

Suzanne married Robert Warren Thomas on March 2, 1946 and together they started their life in Madison and then moved to Waunakee in 1955.

She loved playing bridge, traveling, reading, doing crossword puzzles, seeing her family and visiting with friends.

Suzanne is survived by her children, Robert (Barbara) Bradbury, of England, & their children Colin (Nicole) & Ian (Debbie); Terry, Waunakee & his children Kari, Brad (Jessica); Daniel (Susheela), California & their children, Ray (Julie) Asregadoo, Ted (Julie) Asregadoo, Steven Asregadoo, Lura Dunkin; Pamela (Harold) Buchanan, Dane & their children Adrienne (Dan) Sickenberger, Andrea (Steve) Endres; Michele (Ron) Ballweg, Waunakee & their children, Missy (Pat) Stein, Eric (Megan) Ballweg, Tyler (Betsy) Ballweg, Alison Ballweg (Frank Gorham); Lisa (Rich Hellenbrand), Middleton & her son Logan; Robin, Arizona; Kim (Mike) McCluskey, Waunakee; Tom (Lisa), Arizona & their daughter Dani; Renee (Tim Ducklow), Madison, as well as 21 great grandchildren & many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, brother's Carl, Gilbert, Larry, Jonas, Arthur, & sister's Cyrene & Betty.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St. Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
