Sybil Weinstein

Madison - Sybil Weinstein passed away on January 21, 2013 in her Madison home with her daughters and her beloved friend Tatiana by her side. She was 91 years old.

Sybil's children, Naomi Cobb of Milwaukee and Freya Grand of Washington, DC, her sons in law David Cobb and Paul Ellis, and her grandchildren Elias Cohn, Sonya Cohn and Ariella Cobb will miss her dearly.

Sybil and her husband, Arvin B. Weinstein, lived in Madison since meeting at the University of Wisconsin in 1940. Sybil's long, rich life was enhanced by her many dear friends and neighbors, by a large and close-knit family and by the cultural life of Madison, a community that she loved. Sybil and Arvin also shared a great passion for travel and together they explored countries all over the world.

There will be a Memorial Service at Temple Beth El, 2702 Arbor Drive in Madison on Thursday, January 24 at 1:00 PM.

Donations in Sybil Weinstein's name may be made to Madison Jewish Federation and the Madison Symphony Orchestra.
