Terry "Bert" Smith

MADISON- Terry “Bert” Lynn Smith, 66, of Madison, passed away on April 12, 2020. He was born on December 21, 1953 in Portage, WI to Gordon and Ila (Boyd) Smith.

Bert served his country in the military for 27 years. He was an Army cook, a truck driver, and a factory worker.

Bert loved gardening, canning, doing puzzles, playing bingo, feeding small animals, cooking, and watching his movies. He also loved his coffee! He always made sure nieces and nephews received gifts. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays, going to the Cranberry festival, and playing the lottery.

He is survived by his life partner, Tammie Ascher; siblings, Sheila Jo, Alex Eugene, Michael Allen, Dennis Dean, and Dwight Herbert; and many nieces and nephews. Bert is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Nancy Lee, Michelle Elaine, Gordon Jr., and Larry Donald.

Bert was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed.
