Â
--their dream spot on the Wisconsin River in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Remembering his time in the war, Serenity Point was a blessing. There they enjoyed the outdoors --fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, and keeping up 10 acres of their private wooded peninsula. He enjoyed the many visits from family and friends taking them pontooning, partying , cleaning and frying up the fresh fish they caught. When the upkeep became too much, Tom and Connie, moved closer into town, still on the water. Considering real retirement, Tom and Connie, moved to Oakwood East Continuing Care Community in Madison. Shortly after the move, he had a mild stroke which slowed him down a bit. Tom was a lifetime member of the American Lutheran Church, , the Sheet Metal Workers of America, the American Legion Post in Tomahawk and was always proud to have served our great country
