Theresa ("Terry") M. Lange, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on September 18, 2017 in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, godmother and friend, Terry was truly a one-of-a-kind lady. Generous of her heart, time, love and laughter, she had a profound effect on the lives of many, especially her children, grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a lifelong knitter and often enjoyed a game of bingo or rummy from time to time. She worked for many years as a customer service representative at the Wisconsin Gas Company, though she was most proud of her work for the Apollo Space Program. She was fiercely independent, at times a bit too stubborn, but always ready to give you a big hug and have a laugh with you. We will miss her dearly but are forever thankful for having her be a part of our lives for so many wonderful years. She was endearing to all who met her.
Terry is reunited with her beloved husband Edward Lange in eternal life after just over 40 years apart, where they are enjoying a Brandy Manhattan and dancing to Big Band music. She is also preceded in death by her son Richard ("Ricky") Stanley Lange, her dear older siblings Florence (Bruno), Benjamin (Irene), Frank (Kahla), Sylvia (Ray), Phyllis, Richard, Ralph (Laverne) and John, with whom she enjoyed many childhood adventures and the happiest (and saddest) of times over the years on the south side of Milwaukee, her parents, John and Magdalena, and her nephews Benjamin ("Bunny") Otto, Greg Otto, Thomas and James Piasecki.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Frank), son Robert (Kathy), grandchildren Edward (Ginger), Emma (Peter), Erin (Shawn), Mary (Jeremy), Shannon (Nick), great-grandchildren Aidan and Maple, her dear sister-in-law Dolores Otto with whom she shared many of the joys and sorrows of life and her precious nieces and nephews Rochelle and her children Brian and Karri (Brian) and her grandchildren Bridget and Cole, Pam (Ted), Debbie, Kevin, Karen (Steve), Dave (Julie), Pat (Jean) and their children Jim (Carol), Mike (Paula), Markus (Kimberly), Debbie (Eric), Nancy, Carol (Elaine), Richard, Dave, Phillip, Margie and Timothy and many dear friends. Her family would like to express their profound gratitude to the staff at the Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation who cared for Terry in the final years of her life with love, compassion and understanding.
Terry's advice to us throughout her whole life was always "Live your life to the fullest, enjoy each other and don't worry about me."
