Stoughton- Thomas A. Brummer, age 73, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012, after a year long battle with heart failure. He was born on March 6, 1938 in Renville, MN, the youngest of 11 children of Henry and Luella Brummer. Tom enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1955. After serving 20 years, including several tours in Thailand during the Vietnam War, he retired. Tom and his family moved to the Stoughton area where he worked at Stoughton Trailers for over 20 years. He married Marlene Hathway on February 28, 1958. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; four children, Debra Vike of Spooner, Craig (Donna) of Madison, Randal of Stoughton and Matthew (Melissa) of Evansville; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters; one brother-in-law; and many extended family members. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Road B, Stoughton, with Rev. Paula Geister-Jones officiating, followed by Military honors. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon in the church caf� following the services. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and from 1:00 PM until the time of services at church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or to Christ Lutheran Church.
