Thomas (Tom) DiPiazza passed away peacefully at age 76 on January 9, 2025 at Azura Memory Care in Stoughton, WI.
He was born on April 8, 1948 to Anthony and Mary (Varese) DiPiazza in Madison, WI. He considered himself very lucky to have grow up in the Italian (Greenbush) neighborhood in Madison surrounded by his grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tom graduated from Madison Central High School in 1967 and married the love of his life Sheila (Flynn) DiPiazza on November 15 1967. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in 2024.
He was a Lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 410 volunteering his time for a variety of their service activities for the community. As a member of the Italian Workmens Club Tom looked forward to the Festa Italia Celebration ever summer, setting up the Culture tent and connecting with many people who were interested in the Italian history of the Madison area.
Most important to Tom was time spent with his family following his children’s church, school, and sporting events including camping, fishing, and many hours of scheduling their youth hockey games.
He and Sheila traveled to many places throughout the U.S. and Internationally including tropical cruises, London, Rome and Tom’s favorite, Sicily.
After a long career in the food industry Tom retired in 2007 as a Regional Sales Manager for Conagra Foods.
In their retirement years Tom and Sheila enjoyed the warm winter weather in Florida and Arizona golfing and relaxing and catching up with their snow bird friends.
Tom’s family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at Azura Memory Care for their exceptional and loving care for the past eight months and a very special Thank You to the Agrace Hospice Nurses Bernadette and Anna.
