Mazomanie -- Thomas R. ""Toby"" Kirk, age 57, passed away on Mon. Nov. 24, 2008. Toby was born in Port Washington, Wis. To Addison ""Peter"" and Phyllis (Putnam) Kirk on April 21, 1951. He attended Allegheny College in Penn. and Kent State University in Ohio. Toby was a mine geologist and later became a technical writer. His passion was motorcycling especially in New Mexico and Colorado. Toby was affiliated with the Slimey Cruds Motorcycle Gang of Madison and Detroit. He and his wife traveled frequently by motorcycle, especially to attend the motorcycle races at Elkheart Lake. Toby is survived by his wife, Cathy; son Colin; stepdaughter, Melissia Sadler; step grandson Brandon Sadler; his mother, Phyllis Kirk; brothers, Chris and Barry (Martha); sister, Heather (Chip) Marlott and half sister, Alana (Tim) Clark and two nephews and one niece and many other relatives and friends. There will be a Memorial Service on Sun. Nov. 30, 2008 at 3:00 p. m. at United Church of Christ, 109 W. Hudson St. Mazomanie with Pastor Sara Thiessen presiding. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 2:00 p. m. until the time of service at the church.
