Thomas V. Kremer

Madison -- Thomas V. Kremer, age 66, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at HospiceCare. He was born on September 2, 1943 to Edward and Zita (Kazmut) Kremer in Milwaukee. Tom graduated from Piux XI High School in Milwaukee and obtained his college degree attending night school at the age of 50 from Cardinal Stritch University. He served in the U.S. Army for three years, serving the 128th Evacuation Hospital in Landsberg, Germany. Tom was united in marriage to Marlene Woleske on October 25, 1986 in Marinette, Wisconsin. In 2005, he retired from a career in insurance sales from Humana. Tom enjoyed bike riding, and was an avid Packer and Badger fan, especially Badger basketball. He enjoyed poker, and gathered with the same group of guys for over 25 years. Tom was also an avid reader, and instilled the love of reading in his daughter, Liz. He loved being a dad. Tom was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Parish, serving as an Ecumenical Minister and helping out at events when he was able. Tom is survived by his wife, Marlene; daughter, Elizabeth Kremer; sister, Sue Simono of Winter, Wisconsin; brothers, Edward of Orleans, California, Mike of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, Bill of Amberg, Wisconsin and Rich of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Avenue, Madison with Msgr. Michael L. Burke officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army at http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/ or to HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711. The family wishes to thank all friends, family, neighbors and co-workers, especially TriCare Division at WPS, for their loving support during this difficult time.
