Willett Thomas Main, age 79, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at New Perspectives Senior Living in Sun Prairie.

Thomas was born on October 2, 1937, the son of Willett S. and Mildred ( Okerson) Main. He graduated from Whitefish Bay High School and attended classes at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. He worked for the University and later for the State of Wisconsin in various positions.
Thomas was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and the Milwaukee Division of the U.S. Power squadron. He served his country for 30 years in the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve.

He is survived by his daughter Susan Main Hall; his grandchildren Alexandra, Benjamin and Charlotte Hall and his longtime friend and companion Susan Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Inurnment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

No services will be held.
