Thomas Earl Rust

MADISON- Thomas Earl Rust, age 65, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009, at his residence. Tom was born October 13, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Cara and Ruth Rust. Tom enjoyed birding, cycling, model railroading, being the ""under gardener"" to Barbara, and long walks in the woods by the Arboretum. Tom is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother, Jim (Barbara) Rust of Ann Arbor, MI, sister, Nancy (Larry) Hatcher of Louisville, KY, many nieces, a nephew, and an uncle, Ellis (Teresa) Rust of Sacramento, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents. A special thanks to the nurses and physicians at University Hospital and the staff and volunteers of HospiceCare. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to support lung cancer research.
