Timothy Charles Bast

March 4, 1954 — August 3, 2024

Sun Prairie

On Saturday, August 3, 2024 Timothy Charles Bast, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away surrounded by his wife, children, and daughters-in-law.

Tim was born on March 4, 1954 to Fredrick and Bernadette Bast in Madison, Wisconsin. Tim married Brenda Weihert on May 19, 1979. She was the love of his life and he was dedicated to loving and caring for her as their vows stated, in sickness and health, until death parted them.

One of many children born to Frederick and Bernadette, Tim opened his home and heart to his siblings many times throughout the years and never missed an opportunity to gather with them as the years passed. He loved family gatherings and celebrations.

A navy veteran who once owned his own business working on cars as an auto mechanic, Tim often found himself always tinkering with things. He was always willing to lend a hand to friends. He especially enjoyed making model cars and airplanes.

Without a doubt, next to his wife Brenda and his children Steve, Jennifer, and Scott, Tim's greatest joy and treasure in life were his grandchildren. He believed them to be a true blessing and heritage from the Lord. His love of tinkering definitely spilled over into his attention to his grandkids. He enjoyed coloring with them and always had fruit snacks and other little treats at the ready for them.

God granted Tim 70 years on this earth and based on his profession of faith in Jesus Christ he has now been granted an eternity of joy beside his Savior.

Psalm 116:5-7 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; our God is merciful. The LORD preserves the simple; when I was brought low, he saved me. Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Bernadette Bast and his precious grandson Nolan. He is survived by his wife Brenda; son Steve (Emily); daughter, Jennifer; son, Scott (Amanda); grandchildren Grayson, Riley, Maisy, and Ethan. He is further survived by his Aunts Alberta and Victoria, his siblings: Rod Bast, Sue (Bob) Leffler, Mike (Sue) Bast, Jerry Bast, Cathi (Ken) Ferry, Margaret Bast, Martha Galston, Dorothy (Mike) Lee, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
