Timothy J. Carmichael

Tim was born on May 1, 1964, in Hammond Indiana.

Tim attended school in Sun Prairie, graduated from SPHS in 1982. He attended Northwestern University and graduated with a degree in Economics in 1986. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison and graduated with a degree in Law in 1990.

Tim loved playing sports. He played baseball, basketball, and football throughout middle and high school. He played football at Northwestern University. He was a member of the National Honor Society. 

Tim practiced law for a short time in Chicago, IL before returning to the Sun Prairie area where he continued to practice law. In his later years he worked at Sun Prairie High School as a substitute teacher. He also started his own home improvement business. 

Tim is survived by his sister Laura (Robert) Larue, brother Scott (Jimmy Sparks) Carmichael, brother Chris Carmichael, niece Chelsea (Jarrod Phillips) Larue, great niece Adelynn Phillips, cousins Jack (Joie) Duha and Carol (Jeff) Johnson and their children, and Kim Duha and her children, as well as many friends. 

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Peter Carmichael in 1993 and Sibyl Carmichael in 2024, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his cousin Jim (Kim) Duha. 

A visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI on Monday January 13, 2025 from 4-7pm. A private interment will be held at Sun Prairie Memorial Garden.
