Timothy N. Geving

November 28, 1961 — January 21, 2009

Stoughton- Timothy N. ""Dobber"" Geving, age 47, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.  He was born on November 28, 1961 in Superior, the son of John and Elaine (Orstad) Geving.  Tim attended Duluth, MN and Esko, MN schools.  He played little league baseball, hockey and high school football.  Tim resided in the Stoughton Area since 1979.  He worked at Zalk Josephs and was an Iron Worker with the Local 383 Iron Workers Union.  Tim loved to watch football and spend time with his grandson.  He enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening and was already planning his garden for the summer.  Tim is survived by his father, John (Linda) Geving of Esko, MN; mother, Elaine Geving of Duluth, MN; son, Timothy Schieldt; daughter, Marie Feteke; grandson, Dominic; brothers, Robert (Sandy) Geving and Lorn (Shari Jones) Geving; sister, Jennifer-Ann Geving of Duluth; half sister, Shawna (Justin) Grimm of Esko, MN; stepbrother, Michael (Denise) Freeman of Superior; step sister, Kandy (Paul) Banks of Superior; step grandmother, Phyliss Zakowitz of Cloquet, MN; special friend, Karen Schumate; and many relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by an infant son, Adam John; brother, John William Geving; maternal grandparents, Henry and Inez Orstad; paternal grandparents, Wilbert and Marjorie Geving; and great aunt, Dora Orstad.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, with Rev. Carl Seeger officiating.  Friends and family are invited to a luncheon at the Stoughton American Legion following the services.  Friends may greet the family from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Monday.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the funeral home.   Burial services will be held in the spring through Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, MN.
