Timothy McIvor, age 55, of the Town of Middleton, Wisconsin passed away surrounded by his family at Agrace Hospice on Friday, October 22, 2021 after courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 19, 1966 in Farmington Hills, Michigan. After graduation from Michigan State University in 1988, Tim settled in the northwest suburbs of Chicago where he met his wife, Ann. They were married on September 21, 1991. The family relocated to the Madison Wisconsin area in 1999.
Tim had a love of travel and went around the world for his career. After completing his Executive MBA program at UW-Madison, Tim took his family to Hong Kong for a two-year expatriate assignment. The family has many unforgettable memories and gained the love of travel from the experience. One of Tim’s final joys was the purchase of his RV and camping along the way.
Tim always learned people’s names and made people feel comfortable. His generosity and sense of humor will be missed by all. We will think of him when we see his beloved Detroit sports teams, Michigan State Spartans and Manchester City Football Club on TV. All lost one of their biggest fans.
The family is grateful to the entire team at the University of Wisconsin Hospital for their amazing care and support during a very challenging time. Special thanks to Dr. Justine Bruce as her professional guidance meant the world to Tim.
He is survived by his wife, Ann and children Lindsay (26) and Kyle (24); his mother, Mary Katherine Huff and brother, Greg McIvor.
A visitation to celebrate Tim’s life will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at the Cress Center, 6021 University Avenue, Madison. Remaining funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Tim to the Head and Neck Cancer Research Greatest Needs Fund at UW Carbone Cancer Center. https://secure.supportuw.org/give/?custom=med04&group=carbone
