Peat, Timothy "Tim"

Madison: Timothy James Peat, age 60, passed away June 1, 2018 at UW Hospital in Madison.
Tim was born August 27, 1957 in Dodgeville, the son of William and Anna Peat. On August 16, 1985 he married Kathleen, and they had two beautiful daughters Annie, and Nicole.

At a young age Tim had a love for cars. That love taught him to build his own racecar, his 1967 Barracuda. As his love for them grew, so did spending his summer nights at the local racetracks. He enjoyed helping his nephew Chad, or watching with his brothers and friends.
Tim had a love for watching the Packers, Nascar and the old TV series Gunsmoke. During summers he loved being by the pool with family and friends, cocktails, and cookouts. Tim enjoyed fall the most, hunting with his family and friends, followed by Ice fishing. He was proud to be known for his trophy Walleyes. He was a proud Grandfather who spent the time teaching Austin how to hunt at the Livingston Tree Farm.

Tim is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters Annie (Jason) Zutter, Nicole Peat, Step son Cory (Sara) Lettman, five grandchildren; Austin, Nevaeh, Emma, Marcus Jr. Abby and Furry Friend Lacy, siblings Judy (Stan) Lamont, Danny Peat, Dale (Kim) Peat, Gary Peat, Cindy (Mike) Olson, Shirley (Kevin) Peterson, and Lynn Blackley, and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Anna.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday June 8, 2018 at the CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm.

A special thanks to Heartland Hospice and UW Hospital for Tim's end of life Care. We are all thankful Tim suffers no more pain and is at peace. Please share a memory.
