Tracie J. Seeger

Sun Prairie-Tracie J. Seeger, 49, died peacefully Thursday, November 19, 2009, after a courageous 6+ year battle with breast cancer. She was born July 26, 1960, in Madison, to Duane and Sonja (Sherven) Grinde. She graduated from LaFollette High School and worked for the State of Wisconsin for many years. On November 20, 1992, she was united in marriage to Paul D. Seeger in Madison. Survivors include her husband; her children, Michael (Dayla) Stapleton of Madison, Amanda (Benjamin) Howard of Portage, WI, Chloe (Jesus) Barbosa of Madison, Austin Seeger and Hannah Seeger of Sun Prairie; her sister, Karen (Charles) LeGrande of Sun Prairie; her aunt, Joann (Darrell) Foss of DeForest, WI; her step-father, Ronald (Becky) Wornson of Sun Prairie; and especially, by the joy of her life, her granddaughter, Haley Jo Howard. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held at Cress Funeral Home in Sun Prairie on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., a time of gathering will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4 pm until the time of service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael S. Frontiera and the staff at the Dean Hematology/Oncology Clinic for all of the wonderful care and support that they gave to Tracie.
