Tressa Kalscheuer Meier

Tressa Kalscheuer Meier passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Waunakee Valley Assisted Living, to be with her husband, Skip Kalscheuer, on his birthday, at the age of 88. She was born on March 7, 1936, to Louis and Theresa Meier. She married Stanley (Skip) Kalscheuer on August 10, 1954, until his passing on August 5, 1993. Tress then married Eugene (Gene) Meier on January 23, 1998, until his passing on April 9, 2003. 

 Mom was a homemaker, seamstress, loved flowers and was a foster parent for many years. They enjoyed travelling, playing cards, and operating the Korner Keg which now her daughter Nadine and husband own and operate as R Bar.

Survivors include her children, Karen (Romie) Schmitt, Lori (Paul) Dresen and Nadine (Paul) Ripp; grandchildren, Scott (Kris) Schmitt, Lisa (Eric) Davis, Eric (Nicole) Dresen, Deann (special friend Josh) Noeding, Daren (Kristi) Dresen, Tia Ripp, Lynae Ripp and Kyla (special friend Aaron) Ripp; great-grandchildren, Noah, Will and Weston Schmitt, Kaleb, Ella and Cooper Dresen, Eliotte and Alice Noeding and Pierson and Dylan Dresen. Sister, Rosalie (Sis) Michels, of Waunakee; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Schwartz of Waunakee and Louise Kalscheuer of Ashton.

Tress and Skip were preceded in death by son, Dennis; their parents; and many other family members.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Winn Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy. Q, Waunakee. There will be a short prayer service with Father John Meinholz presiding at 5 p.m.

A celebration of mom’s life will be held following the prayer service at R Bar, 7773 Martinsville Road, Cross Plains. A private burial will take place at a later date.
