Marshall - Tyler S. Tweed, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 14, 2022, in Iowa. He was born February 13, 1998, in Madison, WI to Steven and Jo Ann Tweed. Tyler is a 2016 graduate of Marshall High School. He enjoyed throwing with Marshall High School Track and playing tuba in the band. He studied to become a diesel technician and was employed at Truck Country in DeForest.
As a young child, Tyler loved Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder and Blue’s Clues. He enjoyed any book that had to do with construction equipment or cars. His car obsession started very early with an extensive collection of matchbox cars. He could identify cars by their headlights at a very young age; it took a while for the rest of the family to figure out he was always right.
Tyler was an active Boy Scout from 1st to 12th grade and earned his Eagle rank. He loved to camp, spend time outdoors and was known in his Troop as a master firebuilder (the bigger the better). Bonfires continued to be a favorite activity with friends long after he aged out of Boy Scouts.
A favorite summer activity when he was young was attending the Lions Camp during their diabetic week. It was a wonderful week of enjoying camp activities with other kids that also had to check their blood sugar and take insulin.
Tyler and his Dad rebuilt a 1990 Jeep Wrangler, a multi-year project that solidified his interest in becoming a mechanic. It was painted a bright canary yellow and was his main vehicle throughout high school. He loved going mudding and offroading in the Jeep and enjoyed getting to know the Jeep community in the area.
In 2020, Tyler adopted Bella, a border collie puppy. Bella adored him almost as much as he adored her.
Tyler loved to tease people; we all remember his grin and the twinkle in his eye when he was messing with us. He loved wearing loud, bright shirts, snapchatting (always with the picture taken with the same grin and camera angle), and watching Twister and The Fast & The Furious series with his sisters.
Tyler loved any kind of food and became a good grill master. He was a regular at The Barrel’s wing night and everyone knew his favorite adult beverage was Malibu and Diet Dew.
Tyler was always willing to lend a hand when you needed help. He was generous with his time when friends and family requested a favor, no matter what it involved.
Tyler is survived by his Mom, Dad and Stepmom Krista Tweed; sisters Jennifer Tweed (Kyle Eldridge) and Stephanie Tweed; grandparents Ted and Jan Tweed and Nancy Mullman; and girlfriend Justine Ludeman. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by Grandpa Mike Mullman, Grandparents Lilly and Vince Maxson; Uncle John Maxson, and cousin Joeseph DeSarno.
A Celebration of Tyler’s life will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday December 22, 2022, at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 203 Wisconsin Ave. Madison. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.
