Madison - Verna J. Sell, age 79, entered into heaven on Dec. 1, 2011, at home with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born June 17, 1932, in the town of Montpelier to the late Albert and Selma (Kudick) Ollmann. Verna married Donald Sell on May 21, 1960 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kewaunee County. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2010. She was a graduate of Kewaunee High School. Verna worked for Judge Murphy in the Kewaunee County Courts as a Court Reporter, Attorneys Bertrand & Petitjean in Green Bay and Cuna in Madison before dedicating her time to her daughter Lisa as a stay at home mom. She entered back into the workforce with a job she loved, working with the students at the Calvary Student Chapel on the UW-Madison campus.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Sell and son-in-law Mike Sladek; two sisters, Virginia Krohn and Myra Sisel both of Kewaunee and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; a sister, Marcella Pilgrim; an infant sister, Ruth; an infant brother, Merlin; four brothers-in-law, Leo Krohn, Gerhardt Pilgrim, Art Sisel and Kenneth Sell; and her nephew Carl Krohn.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 110 N Whitney Way. A visitation will take place from 11:00 am until the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
